The memory verses of the month are to cause us to remember humility is the foundation of all Christian virtue and is what God desires in all of us. Both of the texts come from the book of James:
"God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
-James 4:6- (quotation from Prov. 3:34)
"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you."
