John 3
A Pharisee named Nicodemus came Jesus during the night inquiring Jesus about who was and how Jesus did such signs. Jesus then begins to teach him exactly what happens when one goes from being a child of the devil to that of being a child of God. Jesus is speaking about how one has to be reborn in order for them to enter into the kingdom. Nicodemus is confused about the idea that Jesus is explaining about being born again. This how many times Jesus is misunderstood because Jesus is talking about things that are spiritual while many only think about things in the physical. Jesus then questions Nicodemus' understanding of the Scriptures while being a ruler of the Pharisees. He states that the Scriptures have spoken of the necessity of a Savior to come and those that believe in Him will have eternal life. Then Jesus tells Nicodemus about how God's love is manifested in the fact that He sent His Son to be the one who is salvation. Jesus and His disciples the go into the Judean countryside and where baptizing. John the baptizer was also baptizing and preaching to the coming of the Son of God. John the baptizer preached the gospel of the fact the Son of God was here and that whoever believes in the Son of God will have life and those that don't will have the wrath of Go upon them.
